CampusCrate respects student privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, and how we protect it while operating opportunities, resources, societies, profiles, learning, and AI-assisted career tools.

Information We Collect

We may collect account details such as name, email address, authentication provider, profile details, college, branch, semester, skills, social links, and preferences that you choose to provide.

We collect platform activity such as saved resources, event registrations, society memberships, posts, comments, reactions, reports, uploaded resources, ratings, search activity, and support requests.

When you upload notes, test papers, cheatsheets, images, or documents, we process the uploaded file, metadata, and related approval information so the content can be moderated and shown on CampusCrate.

How We Use Information

We use information to operate CampusCrate, personalize student discovery, show relevant opportunities and resources, power societies and discussions, process registrations, prevent abuse, and improve platform reliability.

We may use aggregated or de-identified insights to understand student needs, improve features, prioritize roadmaps, and measure platform performance.

If you use AI-assisted tools, submitted inputs may be processed to generate the requested output. Do not submit sensitive personal, financial, or confidential academic information unless it is necessary for the feature.

Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help us host infrastructure, store files, send emails, process authentication, monitor security, or provide analytics.

Public profile details, society posts, uploaded approved resources, and event-related information may be visible to other users depending on your settings and platform context.

We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, protect students, investigate abuse, or maintain platform security.

Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect user data, including authenticated access, role-based controls, encrypted transport, and moderation workflows.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your account credentials safe and contact us if you believe your account or content has been misused.

Your Choices

You can update account and profile information inside CampusCrate. You can also delete or request changes to eligible content depending on the feature and moderation status.

You may contact support@campuscrate.in to request account assistance, privacy clarification, or data-related support. Some records may be retained where required for security, legal compliance, moderation, or legitimate platform operation.
